Seabourn Far East Cruises

Seabourn Cruises have announced that they will operate a year round cruise itinerary in Asia offering Far East Cruises during 2010 and 2011.
Some of the ports within the itineraries include Dalian in China, Busan and Inchon in Korea, Nagasaki and Kagoshima in Japan and numerous Indonesian destinations, including Bali, Borneo, Komodo Island and the Karimoenjawa archipelago.
Seabourn Cruises have offered these itineraries as they are due to have two new ship arrivals in the shape of Seabourn Odyssey in June 2009 and Seabourn Sojourn in June 2010.
These Seabourn Far East Cruises are on sale now and a new supporting brochure will be available in April.

The Yachts of Seabourn has been names the number one ‘Small Ship Cruise Line’ in the world.
Readers of the Condé Nast Traveler magazine voted for Seabourn in the 21st annual Readers’ Choice Awards.
Over 32,000 readers voted with Yachts of Seabourn finishing on a score of 88.8 after being marked on activities, dining, shore excursions, itineraries and accommodation.

Seabourn Odyssey 450 Godparents

Seabourn Odyssey is to be the newest addition to the Seabourn fleet in June 2009 and will have 450 godparents. Each passenger onboard Odyssey’s maiden voyage that is due to depart Venice on the 24th June 2009 will become godparents to the yacht.
“Everything we do at Seabourn is focused on our guests who, in a very real sense, are the reason this superb vessel is being built,” said Pamela C. Conover, president and CEO of The Yachts of Seabourn. “Those joining Odyssey’s maiden voyage will not only be treated like a celebrity, but will become a part of the vessel’s history, representing the many guests who have sailed with us in the past and those who will sail on her in the years to come.”
A ceremony will be held to christen the yacht before departing on a 14 day voyage to explore the Dalmatian coast, the Greek Isles and Turkey.
Seabourn Odyssey is the first of three new additions to the Seabourn fleet weighing in at 32,000 tons and is designed to accommodate up to 450 guests. Her maiden season will include a mixture of Mediterranean cruises and Caribbean cruises before embarking on Seabourn’s first-ever World Cruise scheduled for January 2010.
Seabourns First World Cruise

The Yachts of Seabourn has announced a new selection of shoreside experiences onboard Seabourn Odyssey’s first World Cruise.
The full World Cruise is to begin on 18th January 2010 and guests will be treated to a variety of shoreside experiences including private sunset dinners at Sydney Harbour, an evening of cocktails in the South Pacific, a Chinese bazaar in Hong Kong and a trip to the island of Phuket.
The shoreside events are part of a generous and complimentary group of benefits put of for the World Cruise guests. There will also be a pre-cruise Bon Voyage event put on for the guests before they depart.
For people not wishing to go on the entire World Cruise there are also opportunities to choose segments from 16 to 69 days.
Seabourn Celebrates New Cruising Yachts

The Yachts of Seabourn held a ceremony for two new, luxury cruising yachts to be launched in 2010 and 2011. The two cruise ships mark the beginning of a three-vessel expansion project which will increase Seabourn’s capacity.
The level of enthusiasm we have seen from luxury cruisers for our new class of Seabourn yachts has frankly got us excited,” said Conover, “and so we decided to start these next two sisters off together, with a special sort of celebration.”
The first cruising yacht that will arrive in 2009 will be named Seabourn Odyssey and will carry just 450 guests keeping in line with their intimate cruising experience. Her maiden voyage will be in the Eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea regions in 2010.
